Creating A facebook Business Page
INTRODUCTION
A facebook Business Page is similar to a facebook Profile except that it is, by default, public, and users can Like and become a “fan” of your Page without first requiring approval from the Page‟s administrators. Publishing Successful Business Pages might start out on a FREE platform by facebook, it requires some efforts on your side as no good thing comes easy. But the guided steps would be a breeze I promise. To get started, visit http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php (Note: you must be logged in to create a Page). Of course the login meant here is your local facebook account. Note if you are creating the page for business, it might be necessary to keep things strictly business by opening a separate business facebook account on facebook so you don't mix identity or information.
STEPS IN CREATING PAGES
Let us get our hands dirty as soon as possible
- Step 1 go to the link i introduced above http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php
- Click the right business type when you get to the business category section
- Fill out the forms to make sure facebook knows about the kind of page your are creating.
- Next facebook prompts you to set up the following for your page,
- About : a description of what your page is about
- Profile picture : a 160px by 160px image of what your page is about. This would serve as a kind of identity photo for your page when you make posts on your pages timeline after setting it up. So come up with a unique and interesting image
- Add to favourites : This is a bookmarking effort to make your page align with your often visited pages on facebook
- Reach more people : Here facebook wants you to setup a paid advert for your page. This means you pay facebook to make your business page known to other facebook users except your friends. If you can afford to pay for this sort of ad, go ahead and click the payment method and select your payment method; credit / debit card, paypal or direct debiting from your bank account
- If you skipped the payment method, it means you do not want to pay facebook for extra advertising on facebook, and you want to promote your page yourself. The next page shows your business page ready for publication
- next setup your cover photo by clicking on the "add cover photo" button. It will look like the upper picture of smilling faces on the wildCARD SYSTEMS.org banner on this wonderful blogspot. The dimension is 851px wide and 315px tall photo that serves as a welcome banner photo to your page.
- Be the first to like your page by clicking the like button on the new page
- Now add a sort of welcome message to your page, cause it is ready for business
Kindly comment on what you just read and share to your friends and circles, to encourage our FREE efforts. Thanks
